Job Description
The Rohr Cafe in Mason Hall is staffed and supported by The Blackwell Inn Food and Beverage operation. Reporting to the Blackwell Food and Beverage Manager , the Rohr Cafe Manager is a front-of-house leader, manages cafe operations, drives revenue, manages and works with Rohr Cafe staff. Maintains and facilitates a satisfactory and memorable experience by delivering prompt, courteous and professional service to guests. Sets up cafe for daily service including transporting any offsite items needed.
Accepts and executes catering orders when received . Drives cafe revenue through marketing, promotions and social media presence. Maintains and controls inventory ensuring proper stocking levels on sight for the cafe; builds and manages successful team through recruitment and onboarding efforts, in the moment coaching and disciplines staff to ensure proper quality of service and products; implements time management techniques including scheduling of staff to meet the business needs; active in sustainability practices; takes proper care of all equipment and maintains clean and sanitary environment both behinds the service bar as well as the seating area at all times to meet all applicable State and local codes, standards and policies. Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
Certificate in Food Protection (ServSafe)
