Job summary

Custom Concrete is seeking motivated and dependable Rodbusters to join our commercial construction team in Westfield, IN. This position installs reinforcing steel used in foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and structural concrete projects.

If you enjoy hands-on outdoor work, you’ll be part of a team that builds critical infrastructure and commercial facilities. You will read drawings, measure and install rebar, coordinate with carpenters and crews, and uphold safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications

• Experience in rebar installation or rodbusting preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and reinforcement schedules.
• Basic construction math and measuring skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow reinforcing steel drawings and project plans.
• Unload, stage, sort, and organize reinforcing steel materials.
• Measure, cut, bend, place, and tie reinforcing steel.
• Install rebar, wire mesh, cages, chairs, spacers, and other reinforcement accessories.
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and concrete cover requirements are maintained.
• Assist with inspections and quality checks before concrete placement.
• Coordinate with carpenters, laborers, and concrete crews.
• Report jobsite concerns, material shortages, and drawing discrepancies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work environment.
• Follow all company and project safety requirements.

Custom Concrete is seeking motivated and dependable Rodbusters to join our commercial construction team. This position is responsible for installing reinforcing steel used in commercial foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and structural concrete projects.

What You'll Do

• Read and follow reinforcing steel drawings, bar lists, and project plans
• Unload, stage, sort, and organize reinforcing steel materials
• Measure, cut, bend, place, and tie reinforcing steel
• Install rebar, wire mesh, cages, chairs, spacers, and other reinforcement accessories
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and concrete cover requirements are maintained

• Experience with commercial concrete construction is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, carry, and position reinforcing steel materials
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work on active construction sites
