Working at the historic Trail Ridge Store & Café located high in the Rocky Mountains on Trail Ridge Road – cresting at over 12,000 feet – is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! Xanterra operates a cafe, coffee bar, and retail store which are open seasonally from late May to mid-October. We’re hiring Employee Transportation Drivers to Live. Work. Explore. this summer!

Job Summary:

Safely operate company-supplied vans in all weather conditions. Drive employees from the Estes Park housing facility to the Trail Ridge Store & Café at 12,000 ft. daily.

The Details:

Position Type: Full-time, Seasonal. No full-time year-round positions available.
Season Dates: Mid-May to mid-October
Pay: $19.30/hour
Schedule: Approximately 45 hours/week, 5 days (may include weekends, evenings, holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties aligned with the Company’s Core Values, Mission, and guest service standards.
  • Ensure safe operation of company vehicles, transporting employees in all weather, 22 miles each way. Note: Side road guards are not provided on Trail Ridge Road.
  • Make multiple drives per day as scheduled.
  • Maintain a neat vehicle and perform general housekeeping of vans as needed.
  • Report vehicle issues to management.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and complete inspection reports.
  • Follow all company policies, NPS, and DOT regulations.
  • Assist with general maintenance and repair tasks if needed.
  • Assist in stocking, unpacking merchandise, and cleaning the store.
  • Assist in the Café as needed.
  • Ensure daily cleaning of employee bathrooms.
  • Foster positive communication and teamwork with all staff.
  • Work with minimal supervision, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Complete background checks, driver’s license verification, and drug testing.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid non-CDL driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Ability to work at 12,000 feet elevation.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to drive safely in all weather conditions.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Positive and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate with managers.

Physical requirements include:

  • Standing/walking for 8-10 hours.
  • Sitting for extended periods (~8 hours).
  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending, stretching, reaching for extended periods.
