The Level 1 Maintenance Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting basic maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting under supervision to ensure smooth operations of production equipment and facilities. This role starts at $27.00 per hour. Pay increases with experience!

Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Conducts routine maintenance checks and assists with preventative maintenance on insulation production equipment.
2. Performs basic repairs under supervision (e.g., replace belts, fuses, or bearings).
3. Assists in equipment inspections, including RTO systems, chillers, and basic HVAC components.
4. Completes work orders and logs maintenance activities accurately using CMMS systems.
5. Monitors performance of machinery, reporting abnormalities or potential issues to senior team members.
6. Assists with maintenance of tools and parts inventory.
7. Maintains cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
8. Operates forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
9. Follows all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols and PPE compliance.
All Employees have the following compliance obligations:
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical or maintenance roles .
Skills
• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanics, tools, and systems.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively under supervision in a team-based environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify minor issues and assist in troubleshooting.
• Safety Awareness: Strong adherence to health and safety protocols.
Work Environment
• Frequent standing, lifting (30-50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
• Exposure to noise, heat, cold, and hazardous chemicals (e.g., butane, propane, methyl
formate)
