Position Title: Food & Beverage Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Supervises: Food & Beverage Rocket City Staff

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the Rocket City Family Fun Center, ensuring high-quality service, efficient operations, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborating with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities And Performance/Behaviors
  1. Demonstrate hospitality behaviors and performance standards, understanding where to obtain information and how to execute technical skills.
  2. Take ownership of problems and resolve issues proactively, requesting help when needed.
  3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of IMGR&C products and services, providing directions and responding promptly to comments and complaints.
  4. Ensure performance standards are met, respond to obstacles creatively, and act independently when necessary.
  5. Support property maintenance by keeping areas and equipment in excellent condition.
  6. Encourage a positive attitude, respect individuality, and communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  7. Provide excellent service by identifying guest needs, taking quick action, and exceeding expectations.
  8. Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct, support the company's reputation, and adhere to attendance policies.
  9. Communicate effectively, share relevant information with team members, and contribute to team success.
  10. Oversee daily food and beverage operations, manage staff, control inventory and costs, and collaborate on menu creation.
  11. Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive experience.
  12. Monitor budgets, analyze sales data, and implement growth strategies.
  13. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinate services for events.
  14. Work closely with management to align operations with overall resort goals.
  15. Research and implement new technologies, including AI, to improve operations.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage and direct staff according to resort policies and laws, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Must demonstrate IMGR&C Values (Accountability, Productivity, Acceptance, Communication, Hospitality, Enthusiasm). A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field, with at least 4 years of management experience in food and beverage operations, including 2 years of bar management, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software, strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for customer service are required.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, stooping, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods.

Work Environment

Loud environment, exposure to second-hand smoke, biohazards, and potentially hostile situations. High-stress environment may occur.
