Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking a part-time Rock Wall Instructor to provide engaging climbing instruction, ensure a safe environment, and help members build strength and confidence. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and adherence to Life Time safety standards.

You will assist with classes and events, maintain the climbing area, and support member waivers and records while promoting the Life Time Way. This hourly position offers growth through on-demand learning and team benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent is required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Completion of Life Time On-Demand Learning: Kids and Rock Wall before first day of work.
• Belay certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explains and demonstrates proper usage of climbing equipment and facility features.
• Monitors climbing area to ensure safety procedures are followed by climbers and spectators.
• Assists with leading rock climbing classes, events, and Open Wall.
• Keeps climbing area clean and organized.
• Maintains member files and waiver forms.

Position Summary

Provides general climbing instruction and guidance in a fun, enthusiastic, and safety-focused environment. Encourages members and guests to further develop their climbing abilities and physical fitness. Grows and maintains impactful connections with members. Provides excellent customer service and climbing instruction that exemplify the Life Time Way.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Explains and demonstrates correct usage of climbing equipment and facility features
• Monitors climbing area to ensure safety procedures are adhered to by climbers and spectators
• Assists with leading rock climbing classes, events, and Open Wall
• Maintains the cleanliness of the climbing area
• Maintains member files and waiver forms

Position Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Ability to occasionally scale climbing wall structure
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
• Complete Life Time On-Demand Learning Requirements (Kids and Rock Wall) prior to first day of work

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of climbing experience
• Belay certification

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $14.00 and pays up to $17.50, based on experience and qualifications.
