What You Will Do

• Operate CAT 777 rock trucks
• Assist with training and mentoring of other equipment operators
• Know procedures: start-up and shut-down, parking, mounting, dismounting, emergency, fire, and work with ground personnel
• Perform pre-shift inspection of equipment
• Communicate using two-way radio
• Perform minor maintenance activities
• Perform other duties as required
• Lift up to 30 pounds during the work day
• Work a non-standard schedule including shift work in a 24/7/365 operation
• Pass pre-employment, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol screening

What We Seek

• 1+ years of machine experience in mining, quarry, construction, and/or earthmoving operations
• Current MSHA 5000-23 certification
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Understand and apply verbal and written work and safety instructions and procedures in English
• Communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards
• Work in a potentially stressful environment

Criteria/Working Conditions

• Stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see regularly
• Occasionally lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds during the workday
• Personal protective equipment required: hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and where needed respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and other equipment
