Job summary

School of Rock Lincoln is seeking a Music Instructor to deliver engaging lessons and lead rehearsals across keys, vocals, guitar, bass and drums. You will create dynamic experiences that challenge and inspire students in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
• Excellent ability to deal well with customers and people
• Strong organizational skills
• Very strong customer relations skills
• Resourceful and good problem-solver
• Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal music school training
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
• Good judgment a must
• Passion for teaching

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows
• Ensure students learn fundamentals of music, not just songs
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans
• Communicate regularly with parents on student progress
• Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school
• Pitch in during canceled lessons and assist in rehearsals and maintenance
• Adhere to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies
