Job summary

Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, located in Crawfordsville, IN, is seeking an Automation Operator to join our team. You will load, operate, and maintain robotic plasma and weld cells, and manage associated heavy equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Preferred qualifications include ABB robotics experience and MIG flux core welding; the role requires 6 months of welding experience and flexibility for shifts, including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience reading drawings, prints, and weld standards.
• 6 months of welding experience.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends, if required.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate, and maintain robotic plasma and weld cells.
• Operate crane, forklift, and other heavy equipment.
• Operate robotic cells according to production schedules and standard operating procedures.
• Load raw materials and components into fixtures or machines.
• Monitor plasma and weld quality and perform basic visual and dimensional inspections.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Document production data and report issues to supervisors or maintenance.
