Job summary

Physical Intelligence is seeking a Learning & Development Lead — Operations in San Francisco to own the training and readiness of our robot operator workforce. You will design and run programs that take a candidate from trial through 30–60 days, ensuring rapid productivity with high quality.

You’ll translate new robot workflows into scalable training across shifts and locations. The role emphasizes turning complex tasks into repeatable learning processes, managing trainers, and leveraging data

Qualifications

• Experience owning training, onboarding, or workforce development programs for hourly or frontline employees.
• Demonstrated ability to get new employees productive quickly.
• Experience building structured ramp programs with clear milestones and standards.
• Strong operational organization and follow-through.
• Able to turn ambiguous or technical workflows into simple, teachable processes.
• Comfortable managing trainers responsible for large groups under tight timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work with technical stakeholders, trainers, and frontline operators.

Responsibilities

• Own the operator trials & readiness program and ensure consistent evaluation.
• Build and run onboarding from day one through first 30–60 days.
• Create training plans, checklists, certification steps, and readiness milestones.
• Identify struggling operators early and create remediation paths.
• Continuously improve time-to-productivity for new hires.
• Partner with researchers and operations when new workflows are introduced.
• Translate new workflows into clear training materials and operating instructions.
• Track training completion, readiness, and performance metrics.
