Job summary

Gecko Robotics is seeking a Test & Reliability Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Pittsburgh, onsite, Monday through Friday. You will join Field Infra’s T&R team and contribute by building software tools, automating tests, and analyzing system data to improve reliability of robotic systems.

You will work with engineers to plan and execute tests, develop tooling, and document findings. This internship offers hands-on experience across software and hardware testing in a robotics environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2028.
• Foundational programming in Python; coursework or projects showing software testing experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own a scoped engineering project to improve test, regression, reliability analysis, or test-data workflow.
• Plan, execute, and document software and integrated robotic-system tests under guidance.
• Analyze results, document findings, and recommend improvements to test coverage.
• Develop tooling, automation, scripts, or docs to make testing more efficient.
• Collaborate with Test & Reliability engineers and partners to align field observations with validation needs.
• Present project results and next steps at internship end.
