Job summary

Amazon Robotics in the greater Boston area seeks a Sustaining Test Development Engineer to design, develop, and sustain automated test systems for electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, PCBs, sensors, and vision systems. You will optimize test solutions and collaborate across MTAC EVS NPI to ensure high yield and reliability.

Qualifications

• Sustaining automated test systems in high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop and troubleshoot manufacturing test software.
• Define test strategies from NPI through production.
• Create test fixtures, interface boards, and wiring harnesses.
• Collaborate with product design for DFT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test software across product lines.
• Develop test sequences in NI TestStand for functional, parametric, and calibration tests.
• Create and maintain fixture designs and wiring harnesses.
• Develop instrument control drivers and DUT APIs using Python, LabVIEW, and/or C/C++.
• Define DFT requirements with design teams and implement test strategies.
• Analyze test data and drive yield improvements using SPC, GR&R, and Cp/Cpk.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex test failures spanning software, firmware, hardware, and mechanical interfaces; assist manufacturing.
• Document test procedures, specifications, software design documents, and acceptance criteria.
• Propose design changes to improve manufacturability and testability; evaluate electro-mechanical ECOs.
• Aide End of Line (EOL) test stations at local CM sites and system integrators.
• Review industry trends and new test equipment to ensure methods are current.
