Job summary

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA seeks a Robotics Technologist II with software, machine vision and deep learning expertise to advance simulation and robotics for space missions.

You will work on algorithms and software for simulation of aerospace and planetary robotic vehicles, translating project needs into configurable simulation capabilities and collaborating across disciplines to deliver robust robotic solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Robotics experience or higher; or Master's/ PhD with corresponding experience.
• Hands-on software, machine vision, deep learning, or robotics experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++ and Python.
• Experience with state estimation, mapping, and machine vision concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and software to simulate aerospace, planetary and military robotic systems.
• Translate project needs into configurable simulation capabilities and extend features as required.
