NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California seeks a Robotics Technologist II to develop algorithms and software for simulating aerospace and planetary robotic systems. The role involves translating project needs into robust simulation features for multiple missions, and collaborating with an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have strong hands-on experience in software, machine vision, and deep learning, with proficiency in C, C++, and Python, plus familiarity

Competenze

• Bachelor’s in CS/CE or related with 3+ years robotics, or Master’s with 1+ year, or PhD with 0+ years.
• Hands-on experience in software, machine vision, deep learning, or robotics.
• Proficient in C, C++ and Python.
• Exposure to state estimation, mapping, deep learning and machine vision.
• Familiarity with real-time robotics and machine vision concepts such as localization, feature detection and tracking, optical flow, segmentation, structure from motion, state estimation and other robotic skills for motion estimation and planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication; provide three professional references.
