Parametric is seeking a hands-on technician to assemble and service robots and their supporting systems in a fast-paced environment. You will work with electromechanical assemblies, read wiring diagrams, and use torque drivers, calipers, and a multimeter.
Documentation of repairs and parts tracking are integral to continuous improvement. Success comes from careful, repeatable work and a mindset of solving problems until fixes are confirmed.
This role is hands on building and keeping robots running. A strong candidate has a couple of years assembling or repairing electromechanical equipment, can read drawings and wiring diagrams, and works carefully with tools like torque drivers, calipers, and a multimeter. The job also rewards people who document what they did, track parts, and follow a problem until it is truly fixed.
The robots here are meant to learn repetitive packing and laundry tasks, so the technician builds and services the physical machines that make that learning possible. AI may help with planning and spotting patterns in failures, but careful assembly, calibration, and field repair stay in human hands. Clear records of what was changed feed back into better designs and procedures.
Working here gives close contact with robots that learn tasks, plus fleet software that supports them. A candidate can build relevant experience by getting comfortable with Linux, basic networking, and installing firmware from written steps, and by documenting repairs and process improvements. Showing a project that was built, fixed, or made more repeatable is the strongest signal.
