Qualifications

• Masters in a quantitative discipline with strong scientific computing and mathematics background.
• Three years of software development experience on large projects.
• AI/ML experience developing, training and applying models in practical scientific applications.
• Data science: modeling, ETL pipelines, and data processing at scale.
• Leadership and the ability to teach others both informally and in short courses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team with RSEs and scientists.
• Participate in ground-breaking research requiring advanced software solutions.
• Develop AI/ML solutions using the latest libraries on state-of-the-art hardware.
• Analyze massive data sets in cloud or on premises.
• Design complex data models and data processing workflows.
• Co-author publications describing software and contributions.
• Lead code reviews and promote best practices in CI/CD.
