Job summary

XDOF is seeking a Research Engineer to bridge research prototypes to production-grade software running on embedded platforms. You’ll optimize performance across CPU, memory, and GPU, writing and debugging CUDA kernels and integrating research outputs into the production codebase.

Strong C++17/20 skills, Python with PyTorch/TensorFlow, and Linux/container experience are essential. You will work across perception, ML, and data infrastructure to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software eng experience in systems/perf/production ML.
• Strong C++ (modern standards) with memory management and performance in mind.
• CUDA experience: write, profile, and debug GPUs.
• CPU perf optimization: profiling, cache behavior, SIMD, latency.
• Proficiency in Python with ML frameworks to read/modify research code.
• Linux system experience: build systems, debugging, containers.

Responsibilities

• Convert research prototype code into production-grade software.
• Hardening perception pipelines for real-time embedded platforms.
• Profile and optimize code at CPU/GPU levels.
• Develop and debug CUDA kernels for acceleration.
• Package workloads with Docker and integrate into prod codebase.
• Collaborate with infrastructure to deploy production workloads.
