Job summary

Orange Lutheran High School is seeking an energetic robotics program leader to coach high school students after school. You will run weekly workshops, teach mechanical design and coding, and guide students from concept to competition-ready robots.

The role requires coordinating practice sessions, managing safety and inventory, and collaborating with staff on scheduling and events in a faith-based educational setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Equivalent directly-related job experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly Monday evening workshop 6:00-9:00 pm focused on robot design and testing.
• Teach core robotics concepts: mechanical design, sensors, programming, troubleshooting.
• Guide students through the engineering design process from concept to competition-ready robot.
• Foster teamwork, time management and effective communication skills.
• Register and prepare teams for robotics competitions; organize practice sessions and reviews.
• Maintain inventory and ensure safety procedures for all equipment.
• Coordinate with administration on scheduling, transportation, and event logistics.
