Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, install, validate, and optimize complex manufacturing processes for robotics production. You will collaborate with Operations and cross-geographically to define requirements, procure equipment, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics and hands-on experience in hardware design, process analysis, and New Product Introduction. Travel ~25% and cross-functional teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/material science, physics or equivalent.
1+ years hardware design and validation experience.
Experience with process analysis and optimization methods including mapping, time studies, line balancing or simulation.
Experience in New Product Introduction environment and Phase-Gate processes.
Experience with problem-solving tools such as 8D, Fishbone, CAPA.
Experience reviewing/designing product fixtures in SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate manufacturing processes meeting NPI requirements from prototype to production release.
Drive process optimization and cost reduction across scaling production lines.
Create business cases and planning documents for capital equipment and plant infrastructure investments.
Implement technology and tooling improvements to improve safety, quality and cost targets.
Conduct process reviews including FMEA, risk and hazard assessments for production readiness.
Travel approximately 25% to support project scoping and cross-site collaboration.
