Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician at our Sylacauga, AL site to support robotic systems and presses.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical cabinets, and read mechanical and electrical prints, with emphasis on hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs. Strong manual skills, welding and fabrication, and ability to work safely in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment are required.

Qualifications

• Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics and their operation and repair.
• Welding and fabrication skills required.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical & electrical prints.
• Knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, PLC5).

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot and adjust robotic equipment.
• Evaluate the performance of presses regarding electrical integration with the feeder and other components.
• Service, repair and maintain all equipment including preventative maintenance on all equipment and electrical cabinets.
• Troubleshooting investigations and analysis of incidents during production runs.
