Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Robot Programming Engineer to join our team for automated robotic paint shop applications. You will program, evaluate, and set up new paint equipment, with significant hands-on work and travel.
The role requires troubleshooting, PLC programming, and experience with Kawasaki and FANUC robots, plus strong communication skills. This is a fully onsite contract position based in Georgetown, KY.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with automated robotic paint shop applications.
- Proficient in PLC programming.
- Experience with Kawasaki and FANUC robots.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform online robot programming for Sealer, UBC, Dampening, Primer, Base, and Clear.
- Run trials and adjust parameters for optimal results.
- Review electrical drawings for new paint equipment installations.
- Prepare and test new paint equipment at vendor sites.
- Create handover documents and snapshots of robot processes.
- Support new model Paint Seibi projects in the U.S. and Canada.
- Set up and calibrate new paint equipment.
- Evaluate quality drawings to ensure standards.
- Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trials.
