Job summary

R.O.B.O. is seeking a Robotics Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis to troubleshoot hardware, replace worn parts, and support root cause analysis for uptime optimization.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document activities, and coordinate with field and remote teams to resolve issues quickly. Experience with AMRs/AGVs and electromechanical systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with AMRs/AGVs preferred.
• Basic knowledge of automation software is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts to support 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and rectify hardware errors on bots in the maintenance cage.
• Replace defective or worn-out parts in robots and ensure proper reassembly.
• Assist in root cause analysis and support escalation to Maintenance Manager.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks as per checklists.
• Support corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize system reliability.
• Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance work performed.
• Update the site inventory list for parts consumed and received (pre/post consumption).
• Record work orders, part replacements, and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with the field team and remote support team during debugging and correction activities.
• Escalate recurring failures or unresolved issues to the Maintenance Manager.
