Boston Dynamics is seeking a software engineer to build tools and infrastructure powering data pipelines, training, evaluation, and rapid experimentation for its robotics programs. You will collaborate with research scientists, ML engineers, data operations, and robot demonstrators to accelerate development and deployment.

In this role you will own dashboards, data tooling, and scalable platforms that reduce friction and increase throughput across the collect-train-evaluate loop, while ensuring

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing software for robotics or ML infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python; familiar with C++ and ML pipelines.
• Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or GUI applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to query data, training, and testing performance metrics.
• Analyze and track failures in experimental robot runs.
• Work with robot simulation software to develop scenarios and data collection tools.
• Build internal tools and platforms that accelerate data collection, training, and evaluation loops.
• Create software providing researchers visibility into policy performance, data quality, and collection gaps.
• Support evaluation across hardware and simulation environments; ensure CI/CD readiness.
