Job summary

Lab37 Robotics is seeking a data/ML platform engineer to own the data layer powering our robotics fleet. You will build ETL pipelines, manage ML training infrastructure, and ensure observability across the data stack.

You will collaborate with data scientists and kitchen operations teams to produce reliable analytics and real‑time dashboards, while contributing to infrastructure as code and CI/CD for data workloads.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data engineering, ML infrastructure, or analytics engineering.
• Proficient with Python data stack — pandas, SQL, dbt, and building production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data services (BigQuery, Athena, S3 or equivalents).
• Experience building ML training pipelines (not just consuming).
• Docker and Kubernetes basics.
• SQL fluency for complex queries and performance.
• Familiarity with documentation and design docs.
• ETL debugging and data quality frameworks.
• Experience in hybrid cloud (AWS + GCP).
• Robotics or IoT data experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines ingesting robot telemetry into BigQuery for analytics and ML training.
• Manage ML training infrastructure using Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Design and maintain data quality checks and observability dashboards.
• Own the data warehouse layer — schema design, incremental loading, dbt transforms, and query optimization.
• Build dashboard infrastructure (Superset, Grafana) for real‑time insights.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize model training pipelines.
• Contribute to IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD for data and ML workloads.
• Participate in on‑call rotations for data pipeline reliability.
