Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for our robotic platform. You will own enclosures, mounting systems, cable routing, sensor integration, and peripheral assemblies like the autonomous charging dock.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with tech teams across functions.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering in product development.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and GD&T for complex assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design of peripheral systems from concept through prototype validation.
• Design and maintain complex assemblies in Onshape with parametric architecture.
• Solve packaging and integration problems for electronics and sensors.
• Develop cable routing and harness solutions in tight volumes.
• Drive rapid prototyping with 3D printing and CNC machining.
• Collaborate with EEs on placement, thermal paths, and interfaces to PCBAs.
• Work with designers on form, fit, manufacturability tradeoffs.
• Perform tolerance analysis and manage multi-part assemblies.
• Maintain design documentation and participate in design reviews.
