Job summary

Carnegie Robotics designs and manufactures advanced robotics systems for diverse industries. As a Mechanical Designer, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop reliable robotic and automation systems for commercial products and R&D applications.

You’ll model parts in CAD (SolidWorks), create manufacturing drawings with GD&T, prototype in-house, and help transition prototypes to production. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in drafting, preferably mechanical design or related field.
• Strong CAD skills with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
• Ability to communicate and present to customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Model parts and assemblies in CAD for concept development and detailed design.
• Create manufacturing drawings with GD&T and support manufacturability.
• Prototype in-house and transition to production; assist with BOMs.
