Job summary

FieldAI in Irvine builds embodied AI systems and runs field deployments with a focus on reliability and real-world testing. This infrastructure engineer role centers on Kubernetes platforms, cloud infrastructure on AWS, and automation to accelerate deployment velocity across products.

You will partner with software teams to craft scalable, observable systems, improve developer experience, and implement robust incident response in production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure/platform/DevOps-focused roles.
• Kubernetes at scale with production systems.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure expertise (networking, IAM, compute, storage, observability).
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS with IaC tools.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes platforms across cloud and internal environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD systems and GitOps tooling (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and operational maturity of distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Debug and resolve production issues across infra, networking, and deployment layers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to boost developer productivity and velocity.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, autoscaling, and incident response best practices.
