Job summary

XDOF in San Mateo, CA seeks a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer to build the product and infrastructure that deploys and evaluates learned robot policies on real hardware. You’ll work on VLAs, imitation learning, DAgger, and more, shipping partner-facing capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in software with robotics/ML deployment, strong Python, Linux, and Docker, and experience deploying ML models to real systems. ROS/ROS2 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Robotics or related field.
• 3+ years software engineering with exposure to robotics or ML deployment.
• Strong Python skills and Linux familiarity.
• Experience deploying ML models to real systems.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and reproducible workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy learned robot policies (VLAs, imitation learning, DAgger) on real hardware.
• Design and build evaluation frameworks to benchmark policy performance on physical robots.
• Build product surfaces to configure, launch, and monitor evaluation runs and deployments.
• Develop orchestration to schedule evaluation runs and deployments across robot stations.
• Integrate LLMs and foundation models into robot workflows for task specification and error recovery.
