Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Industrial/Mechanical Engineering intern for the Robotics Manufacturing and Technical Operations team in the United States. You will contribute to designing and validating fulfillment-center solutions, using CAD tools to support space optimization, safety and performance, while translating requirements into concrete engineering designs.

You will work on cross-functional projects, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document best practices.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a US-based academic program.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, KeyShot.
• Ability to translate subsystem requirements into engineering specifications.
• Understanding IE fundamentals (e.g., spatial layouts of processing lines).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deliver solutions for fulfillment‑center processes and layouts.
• Create high-quality, functional models using AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, SketchUp, KeyShot, BIM360.
• Identify issues in design, development, and implementation of center technologies.
• Invent and refine solutions to meet customer, business, and team goals.
• Assess business impact of designs and ensure performance and scalability targets.
• Prepare technical process reports and best-practice documentation.
