Job summary

Rhoda AI is building the next generation of generalist robotic systems. You will be the first engineer in the loop for deployed robots, triaging faults, debugging across hardware, embedded, software, sensors, and networking to restore operation quickly.

You will own incidents end-to-end, build better monitoring, and contribute to a reliable fleet. In this role you will coordinate with domain teams, manage on-call rotation, and create reusable knowledge to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Strong systematic debugging of complex systems and ability to trace symptoms to root cause.
• Comfortable in Linux and the command line, reading logs and telemetry.
• Proficient in Python and/or C/C++; Bash is a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communication; remains calm under pressure.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming faults and alerts from deployed robots; prioritize by severity and impact.
• Serve as first engineering responder for real-time escalations from field technicians.
• Debug across subsystems using logs, telemetry, and reproduction testing.
• Drive incidents to fast resolution or mitigation to restore fleet operation.
• Coordinate with AI, software, cloud, and hardware teams to drive resolution.
• Own on-call rotation and ensure clear escalation processes and status communication.
• Document investigations and fixes to improve future reliability and runbooks.
