Job summary

GRAM in El Segundo is seeking an experienced technician to build, wire, instrument, inspect, rework, and test insectoids and their subsystems. You will turn engineering releases into physical hardware, identify discrepancies, and maintain records linking tests to floor articles.

You will work with fasteners, connectors, sensors, adapters, and calibration artifacts; troubleshoot and calibrate, perform subsystem checkout, and bring the machine up under approved procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience assembling, testing, maintaining, or servicing complex electromechanical hardware.
  • Built or serviced hardware from drawings, schematics, BOMs and procedures.
  • Proficient with torque-controlled fastening, connector assembly, crimping, soldering, and inspection.
  • Used measurement equipment to accept or troubleshoot hardware.
  • Documented a nonconformance and supported corrective work with verification.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble subsystems from drawings, BOMs, schematics, and instructions.
  • Fabricate, route, terminate, label, inspect, and test wiring harnesses and sensor leads.
  • Install instrumentation and operate meters, oscilloscopes, bench supplies, torque tools, and data-acquisition equipment.
  • Perform subsystem checkout, tests, and machine bring-up under approved procedures.
  • Maintain build travelers, traceability, logs, and as-built feedback.
