Job summary

Lab37 Robotics in the United States is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to own hardware sub-components and test rigs, collaborating with a cross-functional team to understand the larger system and contribute with a detail-oriented approach.

You will generate requirements, create CAD models, and maintain documentation for development, fabrication, and testing, participating in reviews and presenting prototypes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on fabrication and testing experience.
• Interest in actuation, mechanisms and robotics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical sub-components and test rigs ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Conduct hands-on prototype building and testing, interpreting performance data to iterate designs.
• Utilize various manufacturing processes and materials to optimize designs for performance and efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews and present concepts and prototypes to stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation including plans, specifications, and testing procedures.
