Job summary

Ai2 is seeking Research Scientists for its Robotics Team in Seattle to push the frontiers of foundation models for robotics, running large-scale simulations and real-world experiments. You will explore open methods, datasets, benchmarks, and models to advance robotics research.

As part of Ai2, you will mentor interns and pre-doctoral candidates, publish scientific papers, and collaborate with researchers across universities and other Ai2 teams to drive impactful breakthroughs in an open,

Qualifications

• PhD level foundation in robot manipulation, planning/control, RL/imitation learning, real-world robot systems, simulation environments or sim2real, or world models.
• Strong publication record in AI/robotics venues (CoRL, ICRA, RSS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML).
• Solid software engineering skills and experience with real robot systems or deep learning frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead ambitious team-based research projects in robotics and AI foundations.
• Mentor interns and pre-doctoral candidates; contribute to papers and open-source efforts.
• Collaborate with other Ai2 teams and external universities to advance research impact.
