Job summary

Contoro Robotics is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support robotic unloading systems in real-world warehouses. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while representing the company on-site with customers.

You will diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic subsystems, perform preventive maintenance, and document all activities in Jira. This role requires independence, physical stamina, and strong communication with customer staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and daily readiness checks on robotic equipment.
• Interface directly with on-site customer staff to maintain relationships and communicate system status.
• Document all activities, repairs, and system performance through field reports and Jira tickets.
• Manage on-site spare parts inventory and consumables to ensure adequate supply levels.

This role is a hands‑on, customer‑focused position supporting robotic unloading systems in real-world warehouse environments, where you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robotic systems while serving as the on‑site technical face of the company.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade robotic systems including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
• Diagnose and resolve faults in sensors, motors, robotic arms, and electro‑mechanical systems to minimize downtime
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and daily readiness checks on robotic equipment
• Interface directly with on‑site customer staff to maintain strong relationships and communicate system status
• Document all activities, repairs, and system performance through detailed field reports and Jira tickets
• Manage on‑site spare parts inventory and consumables to ensure adequate supply levels

What You Need

• Associate's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics, or related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in Robotics or Field Service
• Ability to work independently in fast‑paced warehouse environments
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk 8-10 hours daily, and maneuver in tight spaces around equipment
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Strong communication skills and prior customer-façing or field service experience

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics, or related technical field
• Experience with AC and DC electrical systems, specifically 480VAC systems
• Familiarity with industrial robot arms such as KUKA or Fanuc
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, servo/motor drives, Jira, Linux, ROS, and command‑line interfaces
