Job summary

Ultrasonium is seeking a robotics engineer to design and integrate motion, manipulation, and sensing systems, and to collaborate with the controls team on real hardware.

You will own the work from design through integration and test, navigating tight budgets and novel physics, while communicating clearly across disciplines. A Bachelor’s in a related field and hands-on robotics experience are required; ROS and embedded knowledge are preferred. Equity and direct founding-team collaboration await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of robotics or motion-systems experience.
• Strong foundation in kinematics and motion planning.
• ROS or an equivalent robotics framework.
• Sensor integration and real-time or embedded experience.
• Hands-on hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate robotic motion and manipulation systems.
• Develop kinematics, motion planning, and trajectory generation.
• Integrate actuators and sensors, and support perception and feedback.
• Work with the controls team on closed-loop behavior.
• Test and iterate on real hardware.
• Own robotics documentation.
