Job summary

Insight Global in Smyrna, GA seeks a motivated robotics engineer to advance autonomous mobile robot technologies. You will work on state-of-the-art algorithms, perform signal processing tasks, and contribute to field tests and publications.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or a Master’s degree, plus hands-on Python and C++ with ROS, Linux, and robotic simulation tools like Gazebo or SCRIMMAGE. A clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, with 2 years of experience or a Master’s degree and possibly graduating in August.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art algorithms on real-world mobile robot systems, including field tests or competitions.

Skills and Requirements

• Must have Bachelors and 2 years of experience or Masters and zero (can be graduating with Masters in August)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with state-of-the-art algorithms on real-world mobile robot systems, including field test experimentation or robotic competitions.
• Experience with C++, Python, ROS, Linux, and/or robotic simulation engines like Gazebo and SCRIMMAGE. Active Secret Clearance.
• A strong history of publication or hardware-implementation of advanced algorithms demonstrating the ability to perform independent research is desired.
• Experience with fast prototyping in Python and C++ for real-time operation on a robot in real-world environments.
• Experience in one or more of the following is desirable:
• oMulti-robot teams.
• oPath planning and navigation.
• oBehavior-based robotics.
• oVehicle Control and State Estimation.
• oMachine learning for robotic control.
