Job summary

United Pharma seeks a seasoned Robotics Engineer specializing in Automotive BIW manufacturing and robotic simulation. The role focuses on leading plant investigations, feasibility studies, and developmental engineering for robotic systems.

You will perform interference analyses, optimise weld distribution across robots, and develop solutions while coordinating with onsite and offshore teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Automotive BIW Manufacturing and Robotic Simulation is required.
• Hands-on experience with Robotic Simulation using 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) is essential.
• Knowledge of DELMIA V5 is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, coordination, and project management skills.
• Experience coordinating with customers and offshore engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute project activities including plant investigation, feasibility studies, and developmental engineering.
• Perform interference and clearance analysis for robotic applications.
• Develop and optimize weld spot distribution across robots while ensuring cycle-time requirements are met.
• Create and maintain problem-tracking charts and develop engineering solutions for issues.
• Prepare and review equipment, robot, and process specifications.
• Conduct robot reach studies and robotic simulations for welding, sealing, and final assembly processes.
• Drive production ramp-up of existing lines based on market demand.
• Coordinate activities between onsite teams, offshore teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, and technical issues to ensure successful execution.
• Provide technical support during design reviews, simulation studies, troubleshooting, and implementation phases.

Job Responsibilities

As a Robotics Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

• Execute project activities including plant investigation, feasibility studies, and developmental engineering.
• Perform interference and clearance analysis for robotic applications.

• Create and maintain problem-tracking charts and develop multiple engineering solutions for identified issues.
• Prepare and review equipment, robot, and process specifications.
• Conduct robot reach studies and robotic simulations for various processes, including:
• Welding

• Possess a good understanding of Weld, Paint, and Final Assembly processes.
• Introduction of new vehicle models on existing production lines.
• Production ramp-up of existing lines based on market demand.
• Line innovation, modification, and renovation projects.
• Coordinate project activities between onsite teams, offshore engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, and technical issues to ensure successful project execution.
