Arete Associates in Niwot, CO, seeks junior and mid-level candidates with a strong foundation in Robotics, Electrical/Computer Engineering to bridge software and hardware. You will design, implement, and test electro-optic systems, integrating hardware with advanced software on edge devices.

The role requires hands-on testing, real-time control, and collaboration across disciplines to bring prototypes to production readiness, with a tight emphasis on security clearances.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Robotics, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or embedded system languages.
• Hands-on field testing with hardware and software systems.
• Experience with robotic sensors and platforms (LIDARs, cameras, IMUs).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to design, build, and test electro-optic systems.
• Apply embedded systems and real-time control to develop sensing platforms and edge devices.
• Support system design from concept through production.
• Write efficient code to interface with hardware and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring concepts to production readiness.
• Contribute to projects involving robotics, computer vision, motion control, and real-time data acquisition.
