Job summary

Hellbender Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Test Engineer to develop, execute, and refine test strategies for electromechanical and robotic hardware from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Experience testing electromechanical, robotic, camera, sensor, embedded hardware systems in R&D, validation or production environments.
• Ability to translate requirements and failure modes into clear test plans and reports.
• Experience with test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute test plans and acceptance criteria for electro-mechanical, robotic, camera, sensor, and embedded hardware systems.
• Design, build, modify, and maintain test stations, fixtures, harnesses, and support equipment for validation and production testing.
• Create automated or semi-automated test tools and data-collection workflows to improve throughput and visibility into product performance.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, document anomalies, and drive root-cause investigation with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Validate camera and sensor performance including image quality, calibration, alignment, timing, and environmental robustness.
• Support bring-up, integration, verification, and debugging of PCBAs and subassemblies.
