Job summary

Amazon in North Reading, MA is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join the robotics hardware team. You will design and implement system-level hardware, analog/digital circuits, and power electronics for next-generation robotic systems, coordinating with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires deep experience in embedded design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and verification. You will contribute to design reviews, drive testing, and ensure readiness for manufacturing,

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience with DFx (design for cost, test, manufacturing).
• Experience with hardware testing and PCB layout.
• Experience with mixed-signal design and debugging.
• Experience with serial interfaces (CAN, SPI, USB, Ethernet).
• Expert in schematic entry and layout tools (OrCAD Capture, Cadence Allegro).
• Experience with FPGA and microcontrollers/microprocessors.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to design from concept to production.
• Prototype, validate, test, and certify hardware subsystems.
• Coordinate engineering activities within projects and with other disciplines.
• Develop technical specs, V&V plans, and test procedures.
• Release hardware to manufacturing and customer deployments.
• Support domestic and international travel as required.
