Job summary

Serve Robotics in Los Angeles is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to implement and manage workplace safety programs, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance across our sites.

The role partners with site leadership to promote a safe work environment, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements. Strong training, documentation, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, robotics, technology operations, or similar environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

• Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Compliance & Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local fire code, and other regulations; maintain documentation and permits.
• Incident Management: Lead or support investigations of injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Training & Employee Engagement: Deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors; foster a proactive safety culture.
• Emergency Preparedness: Assist with emergency response planning; coordinate drills and ensure equipment readiness.
• Environmental Programs: Support waste management, hazardous materials handling, and sustainability initiatives.
