Job summary

Yaskawa America, Inc., Motoman Robotics Division, is seeking a mechanical engineering co-op for Spring 2027 in the Dayton, OH area. The position is full-time with an August 2026 start and a mandatory 40-hour schedule for the first term, on-site in Dayton, Ohio.

You will learn SolidEdge and SolidWorks, plus EPICOR, under a mentor, while handling engineering change requests and Bills of Materials. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing floor operations and participate in design reviews and

Qualifications

Sophomore or later student enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Took CAD/3D modeling class and has robotics team/engineering club experience a plus.
US citizenship or lawful permanent resident only.
Willing to work 40 hours per week for the first co-op term.

Responsibilities

Learn SolidEdge, SolidWorks, and EPICOR (business system) under mentorship.
Assist with engineering change requests and Bills of Materials.
Spend time on the manufacturing floor to understand drawings and product line.
Participate in design reviews, staff and project meetings to learn engineering practice.
Collaborate with engineers and designers across the department.
Possibly work full-time during school breaks; flexible schedule exists.
