Job summary

Skild AI is seeking a Robotics Engineer specializing in Deployment & Testing to advance the performance of its high-level software and products. You will design automated tests and the ecosystems they run in, while helping define quality standards across development.

As part of the robotics team, you will collaborate with software developers and ML engineers, debugging complex failures and ensuring deployment readiness of robots in real-world settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Go and Python for robotics software.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware.
• Experience as a Test Engineer or in test management.
• Experience deploying software on real robots and working with embedded systems.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Familiarity with ML integration in robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive regression tests for Skild AI’s software and products.
• Design and organize test plans according to priority, impact, risk, and feasibility.
• Debug and troubleshoot failures in complex scenarios while testing and/or deployment at customer sites.
• Maintain robots and ensure they are deployment ready.
• Recreate corner cases from production logs into repeatable tests.
• Collaborate with robotic software developers and ML engineers to improve product quality.
