Job summary

Mind Robotics is building Physical AI for real-world industrial deployment, starting on the factory floor. We seek a Data Infrastructure Engineer to turn raw sensor data into training-ready datasets, owning pipelines end-to-end from ingestion to dataloaders for model training.

You will work with real robots and demonstrations, building scalable, robust data architectures and collaborating with research teams to ensure data quality and reproducibility at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience, with data pipelines or backend systems.
• Strong Python fundamentals for production-grade data processing.
• Experience with a distributed data processing framework (e.g., Spark, Ray, Dask, Flink) or readiness to ramp up.
• Familiarity with data storage concepts — object storage, data lake formats, warehouse/vs lake tradeoffs.
• Bias for ownership: shipping features from prototype to production.
• Clear communicator collaborating with research/modeling partners and senior teammates.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools is a plus.
• Experience with streaming ingestion for high-volume data is a plus.
• Experience with robotics- or embodied-AI data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale ingestion pipelines for high-volume, high-dimensional sensor data.
• Build and maintain data quality and curation systems, including manual review workflows and auto-labeling.
• Contribute to storage and retrieval design for large-scale multimodal datasets, including versioning/lineage.
• Build and operate distributed processing infrastructure (batch and streaming).
• Debug production issues in live data pipelines — data corruption, schema drift, backpressure, etc.
• Collaborate with modeling/research partners to align data needs with pipelines.
• Participate in design and code reviews across the data infrastructure stack.
