Job summary

Proception Inc. seeks a Robotics Engineer/Researcher to build the data engine behind general-purpose robot policies.

You’ll own the pipeline from teleoperated demonstration collection through curation to on-robot deployment, turning robot time into training data and trained policies into real-world robots. You will collaborate across AI, hardware and perception teams, building high-throughput, reliable systems in Python and C++ on Linux, and deploying with real-time inference and safety

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Robotics, CS, EE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python/C++ software engineering in Linux; robust, maintainable systems.
• Hands-on robotics experience: hardware bring-up, sensor/actuator integration, debugging.
• Experience building teleoperation and data pipelines for multimodal robot data.
• Deploy learned policies on real robots with real-time inference and safety.

Responsibilities

• Design and build teleoperation and demonstration-collection stack.
• Run data collection operations end to end on real robots.
• Build pipeline from robot to training set: ingestion, time sync, curation and annotation.
• Develop QA, metrics and visualization tooling for data quality.
• Deploy trained policies to real hardware: real-time inference and safety monitors.
• Bring up and integrate sensors across collection and deployment rigs.
• Collaborate across AI, hardware and perception teams to close the loop.
