Job summary

Mind Robotics Inc. is seeking a Robot Operator to run industrial manipulation tasks on the factory floor, demo routines for model training, and help ensure data quality and safety. You will be the first to catch issues, log sessions clearly, and adapt tasks with guidance from engineers.

You should be comfortable standing and moving for several hours, have a basic interest in robotics, and be able to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA. No degree is required; relevant hands-on experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of work history with accountability for your own output; no degree required.
• Genuine interest in robots and AI.
• Demonstrated safety mindset around powered equipment.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
• Clear, plain written communication to log session details.
• Authorization to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities

• Pilot the robots, operate rigs and control setups to run industrial manipulation tasks such as pick and place, bin sorting, fastener driving, connector seating, tool use.
• Produce data the models can learn from by executing repeated demonstrations to a consistent standard—clean motion, consistent framing, and sensible recovery when something goes wrong.
• Own the quality of your own output by reviewing and logging sessions, and flagging bad episodes for others.
• Work safely to enable fast progress, including pre-power-up safety checks and following lockout procedures.
• Run new tasks from a cold start, work out a repeatable approach on the hardware, and document findings.
• Feed findings back to engineers on rig ergonomics, ambiguous instructions, and task setups.
• Help the next person by training new operators and improving written procedures.
• Be on your feet and moving for roughly 5–6 hours, with sustained manipulation and posture; seated adaptation is possible.
• This is not a lifting role; focus is on manipulation, not heavy lifting.
• We can accommodate seated and wheelchair-based operators.
