Job summary

Columbia Okura in Vancouver, WA, seeks an Electrical/Robotics Controls Engineer to design and control robotic palletizing systems and automation equipment.

You will program and test machinery using PLCs and HMIs, design electrical layouts in AutoCAD, and support field start-ups and customer demonstrations. A bachelor’s in engineering and up to 3 years of experience are required; occasional travel is possible. Benefits are comprehensive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 0–3 years professional experience.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program and test automated machinery with PLC ladder logic and sequences.
• Design electrical systems with AutoCAD and configure industrial networks.
• Lead R&D to develop new options or improve designs.
• Verify safety and quality of equipment.
• Create Bills of Materials and installation documentation.
• Assist Sales with technical questions and product demonstrations.
• Occasional field travel for start-up and training.
• Participate in SOP and SWI training.
