Job summary
AUMOVIO in New Braunfels, TX is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to lead controls engineering for robotics and manufacturing systems. You will coordinate daily activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production while collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
The candidate will design and implement PLC/HMI/SCADA software, manage automation components, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation field.
- Experience with PLC-based manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT and Studio 5000.
- Ability to read schematics and control documents.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship) and relocation not offered.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation and controls concepts based on process requirements.
- Design, test, and implement PLC/HMI/SCADA software using Beckhoff TwinCAT and Studio 5000.
- Review equipment concepts including safety and robotics.
- Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and production release of new equipment.
- Develop dashboards and data visualization for decision making.
