Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Cell Operator to support the system upkeep and operation of automated adapters interfacing with the Symbotic structure. You will help ensure readiness to meet performance targets and operate equipment through HMI terminals.

The role sits in the Customer Operations organization, focusing on high-throughput, safe, and reliable robotic material handling. You will inspect, diagnose, and resolve issues, contribute to uptime, and work with leadership to communicate production

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with mechanical automation systems.
• Proficient in performing system inspection: cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checks, current measurements, electrical checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-production checks on automated adapters to ensure ready-to-run state.
• Process and monitor flow of the storage and retrieval system via adapters to maximize throughput.
• Prepare pallets for induction into the Symbotic system.
• Identify causes of stoppage and reset to service using HMI and interventions.
• Escalate issues impacting production to leadership promptly.
• Maintain uptime through system preservation, robot recovery, and bot health actions.
