Job summary

Labcorp in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Lead Software QA Engineer, Robotics and Automation to build and lead a pre-release software validation function within Software Development. The role blends QA leadership with hands-on operation of automated equipment used in a production-like lab setting.

You will establish repeatable testing processes, define validation standards and work across software, hardware, and controls teams to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable software releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing test automation tools using Python, Java, C#, C++, or similar languages.
• 3+ years of experience creating, executing, and maintaining functional, integration, regression, or system-level test plans.
• 2+ years using AI-enabled tools to support testing, coverage analysis, or code review.
• 2+ years performing static/dynamic analysis, vulnerability assessment, or cybersecurity validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-release test plans for software builds.
• Develop scripts and tools supporting functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Collaborate with software engineers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Provide release readiness recommendations to leadership.
• Operate laboratory automation equipment and validate robotic workflows.
